Strategic plan

The Centre's strategic plan outlines how we will support our people, from trainees to senior executives, in both metropolitan and regional areas, by providing quality workforce and organisational development. Our initiatives are formed in partnership with agency leaders, developed in collaboration with recognised practitioners and delivered by experienced professionals from across the sector.

70:20:10 framework

We recognise learning is a continuous and reflective practice. It is a process for facilitating and inspiring individual, group and organisational learning and development. We emphasise and encourage an approach that blends experiential, collaborative and formal elements of learning. This is informed by the 70:20:10 framework that describes how learning occurs.

Leadership development

The Commission is committed to building the capacity of the sector by delivering high impact leadership development programs to chief executive officers, Senior Executive Service officers and emerging leaders across the Western Australian public sector.  Building leadership capability is vital to ensuring the public sector responds to current and emerging challenges efficiently and effectively.

Professional development

This section includes information on a number of professional development opportunities, that is Induction seminars, the internship program, cadetships and obtaining government qualifications.  It also provides information about study assistance, the employment-based training strategy, the Public Administration Industry Working Group and information for policy and human resource practitioners and training providers.
