Study assistance

As a WA public sector employee, you may be eligible to receive a 10 per cent discount on course fees for a range of courses as listed below.

The Public Sector Commission has partnered with Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University, Curtin University and more recently the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors to provide public sector employees with savings on the cost of a public-sector-related qualification.

NB: The University of Western Australia withdrew from the study assistance scheme in 2015.

Applying for the discount

To apply for the discount, first read the relevant guidelines to confirm the eligibility requirements, application process and deadlines. Guidelines for each participating education provider, and a list of all eligible courses, are available below.

Then, complete an application form and submit to studyassistance@psc.wa.gov.au by the deadline stated in the guidelines.
