Family and domestic violence is a multifaceted and complex issue that has the capacity to affect all members of our community, regardless of gender, cultural background, age, sexual orientation and socio-economic status. When impacts of such violence follow individuals into their workplaces, employers can provide the right arrangement of supports to enable employees to feel safe.

This guide has been designed for public sector employers and employees, and outlines key areas for policy development and practice—that alongside leave entitlements—provide a system of holistic workplace support.
