Management essentials: Managing change
Management essentials (ME) is a series of modules delivered as individual workshops, aimed at mid-level managers (levels 4–6) across the WA public sector. ME empowers participants to make good decisions and lead from where they are, positively impacting the performance of their team, their agency, and the wider public sector.

- understand changes in your agency and the public sector arising from sector reform (e.g. machinery of government), policy agenda, economic landscape, technology, demographics, community expectation and accountability
- plan how to best contribute to the change as a manager by understanding the vision and purpose behind the change and communicating it effectively to your team
- work with staff to support them throughout the change process, including strategies for communicating, consulting and promoting a positive change culture amongst teams and individuals.
