Development opportunities for public sector leaders

17 May 2019

Applications are now open for the ANZSOG Executive Fellows Program and Executive Master of Public Administration

Public Sector Commissioner Sharyn O’Neill said these highly regarded opportunities were part of the sector’s focus on identifying talented people and supporting their development in – or into – leadership positions.

“Over the years, many of those who have completed these programs have gone on to more senior roles,” she said. “Not only have their own agencies benefited but so too has our sector.”

Ms O’Neill said she was pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships – up to three for the Executive Fellows Program and up to five for the Executive Master of Public Administration.

The Executive Fellows Program is a three-week residential program in November this year. It’s open to staff currently at Tiers 1 and 2. Applications close on 21 June.

The Executive Master of Public Administration is a two year postgraduate degree starting in 2020. It includes residential blocks, and is delivered interstate and internationally. It is open to staff at Tier 4 and above with applications closing on 1 July.

“I do encourage those who are interested in applying to go along to an information session on Thursday 30 May and hear from ANZSOG alumni,” Ms O’Neill said. “I am sure they will be inspired by the stories of those who have been on this journey and where the opportunity has taken them.”

There is also an information session on the same day for agency HR managers on the selection processes and administrative elements of each program.
