Five appointments to chief executive positions

The Public Sector Commissioner today announced that the Governor has approved the following appointments to chief executive officer positions in accordance with section 45(1) of the Public Sector Management Act 1994. These positions were advertised nationally.

  • Dr Ken King

    Director, Pilbara Development Commission

    Effective from 14 January 2013 for a term of five years.

    Dr King was Chief Executive Officer at the Gladstone Economic and Industry Development Board in Queensland from July 2003 to June 2012.
  • Mr Kevin Doig

    Managing Director, Goldfields Institute of Technology

    Effective from 14 January 2013 for a term of five years.

    Mr Doig is currently the Divisional Director Engineering and Transport Solutions at Polytechnic West.
  • Ms Jill Jamieson

    Managing Director, Polytechnic West

    Effective from 18 February 2013 for a term of five years.

    Ms Jamieson is currently the General Manager Training Services, Challenger Institute of Technology.
  • Mr Duncan Anderson

    Managing Director, South West Institute of Technology

    Effective from 25 March 2013 for a term of five years.

    Mr Anderson is currently an Officer (Major) in the Australian Army.
  • Ms Michelle Hoad

    Managing Director, West Coast Institute of Training

    Effective from 25 January 2013 for a term of five years.

    Ms Hoad is currently the General Manager, Education and Training at Polytechnic West.
