Hong Kong delegation visits Public Sector Commission

On Thursday 6 June, the Public Sector Commissioner, Mal Wauchope facilitated an ethics and integrity session with delegates from the Hong Kong Education Bureau.
The Hong Kong Education Bureau is conducting a pilot project to assist schools in Hong Kong establish school-based mechanisms for handling complaints, through a review of the processes used in Australian jurisdictions. Western Australia and Victoria were identified as the two Australian jurisdictions with robust complaint mechanisms in place.
‘Building a stronger and more sustainable relationship with our counterparts from Asia is of great importance to the Commission’, the Commissioner said.
‘Such partnerships not only deliver outcomes that promote international cooperation and the interests of Western Australia in Asia, but also result in a sharing of key information and learning beneficial to the public sector as a whole.’
