More than a matter of trust - An examination of integrity checking controls in recruitment and employee induction processes was tabled in parliament on 19 November 2013.
The report considered the recruitment and induction processes for positions considered to carry a higher integrity risk—whether by virtue of the authority, responsibility or level of oversight operating over the position.
The Commission concluded that there could be more rigour in the assessment of integrity at key points in the recruitment and appointment process. The Commission also found that the incorporation of conduct and integrity elements into induction programs was generally well designed in the processes included in the sample.
