School-based traineeship Recruitment and Referral Service

The Public Sector School Based Traineeship is a fantastic way for WA public sector agencies to tap into new ideas and fresh talent, while giving students entering Year 11 in 2020 a career boost.

This initiative will assist agencies in developing a strong, diverse and capable workforce that is future fit for the people of Western Australia.

Students taking part in the program combine their studies with paid part-time employment at a WA public sector agency, while completing a Certificate II in Government (Public Administration). This goes towards their Western Australian Certificate of Education (WAGE).

Agencies have until 27 September 2019 to request a school based trainee.
