University cadetship programs

The Public Sector Commission is committed to achieving greater representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people with disability in the WA public sector.

The Public Sector Commission has an inclusive approach to diversity in the workplace. We believe that workplaces representative of the wider community, where varied viewpoints are welcomed and encouraged, achieve the best outcomes. Funded university cadetships is part of our commitment to achieving this.

The University cadetship program is a pilot initiative in 2017 and provides an opportunity for high-calibre students, who are in their final year of an undergraduate degree and considering a future in the diverse world of public service, to combine their studies with a 60-day paid work placement

The Commission is offering university cadetships for two streams (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and students with disability).
