Human resources capability framework
During 2010 the Public Sector Commission collaborated with senior HR practitioners and the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) to identify the critical capabilities that will contribute to a more highly skilled HR profession able to respond to new and evolving demands placed on the public sector.
Significant consultation was undertaken with HR managers and practitioners, Directors General, Chief Executive Officers and senior executives who contributed their time, expertise, opinions and support.
The Human Resources Capability Framework for the WA Public Sector provides a basis upon which we can build the capability of the HR profession.
The HR Capability Framework is based on the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) Model of Excellence for HR Practitioners. It complements the WA Public Sector Levels 1 to 6 and the Leadership capability profiles, and supports the objectives of Strategic Directions for the Public Sector Workforce 2009 – 2014.
