Human Resources Practitioners Forum

The Public Sector Commission is committed to building the future capacity of the sector by developing effective working relationships with public sector agencies to ensure human resource developmental programs and initiatives meet identified needs.

The Commission aims to support that commitment by working collaboratively with public sector agencies to deliver flexible, quality learning and development strategies that will develop human resource knowledge and skills across the sector. To achieve that aim, the Commission will conduct a series of quarterly forums with HR practitioners from across the public sector.


The purpose of the Human Resources Practitioners Forum is to:

  • provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, opinions and knowledge amongst HR practitioners across the sector
  • identify opportunities for HR practitioners to work collaboratively with the Public Sector Commission to share human resource expertise and experience across the sector
  • identify, prioritise and address the human resource practitioner training and development needs within the public sector
  • build HR capability across the public sector.


The forum will comprise of Public Sector Commission representatives, senior public sector HR practitioners and guest speakers.

Frequency of meetings

The forums are held on a quarterly basis and invitations are open to all HR practitioners within the Western Australian public sector.
